We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to join a well-established nursery based in Ealing, West London. This role is also the perfect oppertuntiy for a hands on Deputy Manager looking for the next step up.
Person Specification:
Level 3 Childcare qualification or above
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Some of the Nursery Manager responsibilities will include:- Leading by example and managing day to day nursery operations
- Working closely with the area managing KPI’s
- Building positive relationships with parents and key interfacing groups
- Developing a staff team, managing recruitment, induction, ongoing supervisions, conducting regular staff assessments, identifying and sourcing training needs
- Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities in line with EYFS to develop all aspects of the child's individual learning and development
- Ensuring staff understand and adhere to all nursery policy and procedures
- Managing budgets and keep accurate records of staffing, payroll, banking, petty cash, issuing invoices and fee collection
- Managing Staff Rotas and meetings
- Maintaining accurate records to include accident, incident, medication, registers and risk assessment
- Marketing the nursery, arranging leaflet drops, open days etc
- To ensure the nursery is running to its full capacity by effectively managing inquiries, conducting show-rounds, operating a waiting list, as appropriate
- To attend out of working hours’ activities, to include training, staff meetings, parents’ evenings and special events
- Working 40 Hours per week
