Third In Charge

Staff Match are recruiting for a highly inspirational Third in Charge to join a lovely nursery in Sidcup, South London. The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge of EYFS statutory framework and be able work well as part of a team.

Person Specification:

NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification  

Experience working with children under 5 years of age

Experience of directing staff

Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum  

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)

Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)

Some of the Third In Charge responsibilities will include:

• To work closely with the nursery manager and deputy manager in providing a safe nurturing environment of children to learn and grow.
• Reviewing and monitoring planning within rooms to ensure stimulating opportunities are continually provided for the children
• To ensure all staff understand and comply with all nursery policy and procedures
• To carry our regular staff supervisions and identify training needs
• To support current room leaders with any children’s observations and assessments
• Ensuring all nursery documentation is accurately maintained
• To work in partnership with parents forming caring and trusting relationships
• To provide cover for Room leaders in times of absence and direct staff as required
• Attending staff meetings and training as required
