Deputy Manager

Staff Match are recruiting for an experienced term time  Deputy Manager to join a lovely nursery in Hounslow, West London.  Working Monday to Thursday, 32 hours per week this role will be room based and the ideal candidate must have a real passion for early years and excellent knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework.

Person Specification:

NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification

Experience of leading and motivating teams

Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)

Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)

Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role

Some of the Deputy Manager responsibilities will include:

• Work closely with Nursery Manger to provide a high quality childcare provision
• To ensure all staff understand and comply with all nursery policy and procedures
• Support and mentor members of staff in the EYFS curriculum and ensure children’s learning and development needs are being met
• Reviewing and monitoring planning within rooms and across the nursery to ensure activities are age appropriate and exciting
• To carry our regular staff supervisions and identify training needs
• To promote diversity and equal opportunity. 
• To build positive relationships with parents, careers, and key interfacing groups
• To ensure nursery documentation is accurately completed, this includes risk assessments, accident, incident and medication forms
• To do parent show arounds as required
• To par take in open days and nursery events
