Person Specification:

NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification

Experience of working in a childcare setting and supporting children’s development  

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)

Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)

Some of the Nursery Nurse responsibilities will include

• Effectively work as part of a team and ensure children are cared for in a safe stimulating environment
• Set out age appropriate activities on a daily basis to encourage development and learning.
• Undertake observations on key children and maintain accurate development records
• Support children in activities, personal care and at meal times
• Build positive relationships with parents and co workers
• To attend all staff meetings and participate in training as required
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures and undertake a shared responsibility for cleanliness and health and safety throughout the nursery
• To administer medicines as necessary according to nursery rules and procedures.
• Assist in putting up displays of children's work.
• Working 40 hours per week
