Based in Islington, we are recruiting for a Nursery Manager to set up a new nursery due to open in January 2021. Candidates will need to be highly self-motivated, have experience of team building as well as a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum planning
Person Specification:
NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or above
Experience of developing teams and managing a new start up
Experience of managing or working in an Ofsted “Outstanding” nursery
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Some of the Nursery Manager responsibilities will Include:- Striving for outstanding care and education within the Nursery
- Lead in the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
- Promote and facilitate partnership with parents/carers and other family members
- Support the development of good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion.
- Work with the team to continuously improve quality of childcare and education
- Ensure that children are kept safe and that staff understand, and when necessary follow, Child Protection Procedures
- Comply with the statutory framework for the EYFS and other relevant statutory regulations, Child Protection Procedures, relevant legislation including the Children Act 1989 and 2004.
- Ensure that staff are following the key person procedures in line with company policy and EYFS.
- Lead staff meetings and provide training
- Update policies and procedures and ensure they are delivered and maintained
- Par take in recruitment and induction procedure of all new staff
- Support and supervise all staff with their day to day duties.
