Third In Charge

Staff Match are recruiting for a hands-on Third In Charge to join a friendly nursery in Tooting, Greater London. If you have good team building skills and a passion for early years and excellent knowledge of EYFS curriculum, we want to hear from you.  

Person Specification:

NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent

Experience of leading and motivating teams

Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)

Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)

Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role

Some of the Third In Charge  responsibilities will include:

• To work alongside the  Nursery and Deputy Manager and maintain a safe a high standard of practice in accordance with the nurseries principles, policies and procedures.
• To deploy staff effectively to ensure the required standards are maintained
• To ensure all staff understand and comply with all nursery policy and procedures
• To lead the team and support in EYFS planning and ensure children’s development records are maintained
• To carry our regular staff supervisions and coordinate staff meetings
• To support the Deputy Manager in developing a staff team that delivers quality care and education to young children
• To promote diversity and equal opportunity
• To work in partnership with parents forming caring and trusting relationships
• To ensure professionalism and confidentiality at all times
