An opportunity has arisen for level 3 Room leader to join a growing nursery in Lingfield, Sussex. If you have a real passion for working with children under 5 years and a good working knowledge of EYFS curriculum, we want to hear from you.
Person Specification:
NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent
Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Some of the Room leader responsibilities will include:- To assist in providing a safe, supportive and caring environment for young children in the nursery, ensuring all aspects of each individual child’s development are given full consideration
- Working as a Key worker and using the I-connect system for daily feedback to parents, including recording all food, sleeps, nappies and observations
- To comply with all nursery policy and procedures
- To direct room based staff in EYFS curriculum planning
- To promote diversity and equal opportunity
- To develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, parents and other childcare professionals
- To attend monthly staff meetings and further training as required
- To act as a role model for junior members of staff
- Working 40 hours per week
